Odaiba's malls, floor by floor

Most of Odaiba's paid attractions sit inside three malls. DECKS holds the big indoor cluster, DiverCity has The Gundam Base and the Unko Museum, and Aqua City has ramen, a cinema and an indoor animal-contact zoo. Here is what is on which floor, and which station to use.

Searches for “decks tokyo beach”, “divercity tokyo plaza” and “aqua city odaiba” usually come from the same question: where exactly is the thing I want to see? In Odaiba the answer is almost always “inside a mall”. Three malls hold most of the island’s paid attractions, and knowing which is which saves a lot of walking in the sea wind.

The geography in one paragraph: DECKS Tokyo Beach and Aqua City Odaiba stand on the waterfront facing Odaiba Beach and Rainbow Bridge, close to Fuji TV. DiverCity Tokyo Plaza is a short way inland in Aomi, next to Tokyo Teleport station. The Yurikamome serves the first two; the Rinkai Line is the quick way to DiverCity.

DECKS Tokyo Beach

1-6-1 Daiba, Minato-ku. Odaiba-kaihinkoen station (Yurikamome) is 2 minutes away; Tokyo Teleport (Rinkai) is 5 minutes.

DECKS opened on 12 July 1996 and is really two buildings joined together: the Seaside Mall and the Island Mall, which was added in December 2000. This is Odaiba’s indoor attraction cluster. On a wet day you can do Joypolis, LEGOLAND, Madame Tussauds and the Trick Art Museum without going outside.

Hours and food

  • Shops: weekdays 11:00–20:00, weekends and holidays 11:00–21:00
  • Restaurants: 11:00–23:00
  • Odaiba Takoyaki Museum: closes at 20:00 or 21:00

For a quick bite between attractions there is the Takoyaki Museum, and the late restaurant hours make DECKS a practical dinner stop after sunset on the beach outside. Individual restaurants come and go (Dotonbori Akaoni, for example, closed on 20 August 2026), so check the DECKS site for the current list.

DiverCity Tokyo Plaza

1-1-10 Aomi, Koto-ku. Tokyo Teleport station (Rinkai Line) is 3 minutes away; Tokyo Teleport’s secondary station name is even “DiverCity Tokyo Plaza-mae”. On the Yurikamome, Daiba and Aomi stations are both about 5 minutes’ walk.

Mitsui Fudosan opened DiverCity on 19 April 2012. It has around 154 stores, with its attractions on 2F, 6F and 7F.

The Gundam statue has gone

For almost nine years, the life-size Unicorn Gundam statue in front of DiverCity (on Festival Plaza) was the main reason many people came here. Its display ended on 31 August 2026, after a closing ceremony on 29 August. No replacement has been announced for the plaza. Many guides and maps still show the statue and its transformation times; ignore them.

What remains is The Gundam Base Tokyo on 7F: free to enter, open with the mall (10:00–21:00, with some changes), and organised into SHOP, BUILDERS (a paint room), FACTORY and EVENT zones. On weekends, holidays and new-kit release days, entry can be by web numbered ticket or pre-entry lottery, so check the official notice page before a weekend visit. There is also a smaller Tokyo ANNEX on 2F. Full details are in our Gundam Base guide.

  • Shops: weekdays 11:00–20:00, weekends and holidays 10:00–21:00
  • Food court: until 21:00 or 22:00

DiverCity closes its restaurants an hour earlier than DECKS and Aqua City, which matters if you plan a late dinner after the fountain show or a cruise.

Aqua City Odaiba

Aqua City stands opposite the Fuji TV building, and Daiba station on the Yurikamome is the one to use. It has around 120 shops, about 50 of them restaurants, which makes it the food mall of the three. The Statue of Liberty replica and the Tokyo Aqua Symphony fountain are a few minutes’ walk away on the waterfront.

Tokyo Ramen Kokugikan Mai was renewed and reopened on 12 March 2026 with six shops, four of them new. It is the easy answer to “where should we eat in Odaiba”: several ramen styles on one floor, open until 23:00.

AniTouch is an indoor animal-contact zoo with capybaras and ring-tailed lemurs among more than 30 species. There is no time limit, and feeding costs extra. Prices by day type:

Moving between the malls

You do not need a train between DECKS and Aqua City: they stand side by side on the Daiba waterfront. DiverCity is a separate walk inland. If you are carrying shopping or tired children, the Yurikamome links Odaiba-kaihinkoen (for DECKS), Daiba (for Aqua City and Fuji TV) and Aomi (for DiverCity). The Yurikamome one-day pass costs ¥820 for adults and pays off if you ride three or more times.

Which mall for which visitor

  • Rain, or kids aged 3–10: DECKS. Everything is under one roof, and LEGOLAND and Trick Art are close together.
  • Gundam fans: DiverCity 7F, then the Unko Museum on 2F if you have children with you. Just don’t expect the statue.
  • Dinner with a view: Aqua City or DECKS, both open until 23:00 and both on the Rainbow Bridge side.
  • Anime and games: Joypolis in DECKS, Gundam Base in DiverCity, arcade at Round1.

What closed

VenusFort, the fourth mall, part of Palette Town in Aomi, closed on 27 March 2022. Immersive Fort Tokyo, which opened in the same building in 2024, closed on 28 February 2026. Toyota Arena Tokyo, opened on 3 October 2025, now stands on the former Palette Town site. Our closed attractions page covers everything that has gone.
