Tokyo Joypolis has been in DECKS Tokyo Beach since 1996 and marked its 30th anniversary on 12 July 2026. It fills floors 3 to 5 of the mall with rides, simulators, walk-through horror houses and arcade-style games. You walk in from the Seaside Mall on 3F, two minutes from Odaiba-kaihinkoen Station on the Yurikamome.
If you searched for “joypolis odaiba”, “sega joypolis” or “tokyo joypolis tickets”, this is the same place. One detail most guides skip: Sega no longer owns it. The operator is CA Sega Joypolis Ltd., part of the Hong Kong-listed CA Cultural Technology Group, which took the majority stake from Sega in 2017. The name stayed.
Entry or Passport: the only decision that matters
Joypolis sells two basic tickets. Entry gets you through the door. The Passport gets you through the door and onto every ride as many times as you like.
| Ticket (official price) | Adult (18+) | Child (elementary to high school) |
|---|---|---|
| Entry only | ¥1,700 | ¥1,400 |
| Passport (entry + unlimited rides) | ¥6,000 | ¥5,000 |
| Evening Passport (from 15:00 or 16:00) | ¥5,000 | ¥4,000 |
| Annual passport | ¥29,000 | ¥24,000 |
Without a Passport, each ride costs ¥700–1,000. The maths is simple: add five rides to the ¥1,700 entry and you are close to the Passport price already. Anyone who came to ride should buy the Passport. Entry only makes sense for a parent who is watching, or for a visitor who wants two or three specific games.
The Evening Passport is the official “night” ticket. It starts at 15:00 on some days and 16:00 on others, so check the calendar for your date. You may see a “Night Passport ¥4,000” on other sites; it is not on the official price page, so don’t plan around it. There is also a “Quick Ride Night” ticket, two rides for ¥3,100.
Free entry applies to preschool children, visitors aged 60 and over, pregnant visitors with a maternity handbook, and disability-card holders with up to two companions. Free entry still means rides are paid, so a senior who wants to ride needs a Passport (the official senior Passport is ¥4,300).
Where to buy: Klook, the gate or GetYourGuide
Joypolis has no own-site e-shop for overseas visitors. Instead, its official English page lists authorised online sellers, and Klook is named first, alongside Trip.com, KKday and Rakuten Travel Experiences. That matters: you are buying through a channel the park itself recognises.
How the Klook ticket works on the day: you show the QR code in the Klook app at the entrance, staff scan it, and you get a physical ticket in exchange. Check whether the listing you pick is entry only or the Passport before you pay.

Prices in US dollars as listed by the partner when we last checked; the price shown at checkout is the one that counts.
About price: we have not found a clean, dated comparison between Klook and the gate, so we won’t quote a percentage. Compare the price on the card above with the ¥6,000 gate Passport for your date. Inside Japan, the park’s own online discount is small: presale Passports via asoview or convenience stores are ¥5,700 for adults, ¥300 off.
The GetYourGuide listing is titled “Exchange Required”, and GetYourGuide is not on the official seller list, so that ticket reaches you through a reseller and still has to be swapped at the venue. It is a reasonable backup if you already book everything on GetYourGuide. Otherwise use Klook or KKday, which are official channels.
All Joypolis tickets are non-refundable once bought, whichever seller you use.

Height and age rules for the big rides
Rules are per attraction, not per park. Measure your child before you buy a Passport for them, because a 120 cm child is shut out of several headline rides.
| Attraction | Rule |
|---|---|
| Storm G | 140–200 cm |
| Sadako curse house | 140–185 cm |
| Gekion Live Coaster | 130 cm and over |
| Half Pipe Tokyo | 130 cm and over |
| Transformers Human Alliance Special | 130 cm and over |
| Wild River, Wild Wing, Wild Jungle Brothers | 110 cm and over |
| Spicy Taxi, House of the Dead Scarlet Dawn | 90 cm and over |
| Murder Lodge | age 7 and over |
The practical reading: under 110 cm, a Passport is poor value. Between 110 and 130 cm, a child can do a fair share of the park. At 140 cm and over, everything is open. For a family plan that fits younger children, see our Odaiba with kids guide.
What is inside now
The official header says 20 attractions; the list itself runs to about 22. The current line-up includes Attack on Titan The Attraction, NARUTO Music Dancer, Ace Attorney in Joypolis, Laser Shooting ISSEN, Sonic Athletics, Yokai Yashiki and Pirate’s Plunder, next to the rides in the table above.
Older guides still recommend “Veil of Dark”. It is no longer listed, so don’t go looking for it.
Storm G has the strictest height window in the park, so treat it as the ride for teens and adults. The horror attractions (the Sadako curse house and Murder Lodge) are where the age and height limits bite hardest for families, so read the table above before promising them to a younger child.
Joypolis Sports X
Joypolis opened a second venue, JOYPOLIS SPORTS X, on 10 July 2026. It is on DECKS Island Mall 5F, so it is in the other half of the same mall, not inside the main park. Adult admission has been reported at ¥2,900. Treat it as a separate venue with its own ticket, and check the official site for what is included before you plan both in one day.
Hours and timing
Hours change by day. As a rule of thumb the park runs 11:00–19:00 on weekdays and 10:00–20:00 on weekends and holidays, but the official calendar is published as half-month PDFs, and those are what counts. Last entry and re-entry end 45 minutes before closing.
A few timing notes from the mall layout:
- Weekends and school holidays are the busy days at every DECKS attraction. If your dates are flexible, go on a weekday.
- The Evening Passport suits a day that starts elsewhere, for example teamLab Planets in the morning, then DECKS after lunch.
- No outside food or drink is allowed inside. Eat in the DECKS restaurants (open to 23:00) or at the Odaiba Takoyaki Museum in the same building.
Who Joypolis suits, and who should skip it
Joypolis works best for teens, adult groups and families whose children are at least 130 cm. It is fully indoor, so it is one of the strongest rain plans on the island. It also sits in the building with LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Madame Tussauds and the Trick Art Museum, which makes DECKS the easiest one-building day in Odaiba.
Skip it if your children are under 110 cm (LEGOLAND next door is built for them), or if you want Japanese culture rather than rides. Coaster fans should know that everything here is indoors, inside a shopping mall, so expect compact rides rather than a full outdoor theme park.
Joypolis in a pass
Joypolis is one of the venues in the Odaiba Tour Pass, the Klook “Special Tour Pass in Odaiba”. The pass gives Joypolis admission plus one attraction, not unlimited rides. The edition we checked was valid from 1 April to 30 September 2026. It is sold in seasonal editions, so check whether your dates are bookable. Our Odaiba Tour Pass guide explains how it works. Klook Pass Greater Tokyo also lists Joypolis among its options, together with LEGOLAND, Madame Tussauds and the Unko Museum.

Is the Joypolis Passport worth it?
Single rides cost ¥700–1,000 each on top of the ¥1,700 entry. If you expect to ride five or more attractions, the Passport usually comes out ahead.
Is there a Joypolis night passport?

Can I use a Klook ticket at Joypolis?
