Who runs it, and why that matters to your ticket
Yurikamome Inc. was founded on 25 April 1988. Tokyo Rinkai Holdings owns 99.9% of it, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government holds the rest, which makes it a “third-sector” company controlled by the city. It runs one line: 14.7 km from Shimbashi to Toyosu, with 16 stations numbered U01 to U16.
The ownership explains a common mistake. The Yurikamome is not part of Tokyo Metro or Toei Subway, so the popular Tokyo Subway Ticket does not work on it. Plenty of visitors only find this out at the Shimbashi gates. The same applies to the Rinkai Line, the other rail route into Odaiba, which is run by a different company again.
The stations you will actually use
Sixteen stations sounds like a lot, but a visitor to Odaiba needs about six of them.
| Station | Number | Get off here for |
|---|---|---|
| Shimbashi | U01 | Start of the line; change from JR and the subway |
| Hinode | U04 | Symphony cruises and Tokyo Cruise boats at Hinode Pier |
| Odaiba-kaihinkoen | U06 | DECKS Tokyo Beach, the beach, the Tokyo Cruise pier |
| Daiba | U07 | Fuji TV, Aqua City, Statue of Liberty, Tokyo Aqua Symphony fountain |
| Aomi | U10 | DiverCity (about 5 min), Toyota Arena Tokyo |
| Ariake-Tennis-no-mori | U13 | Small Worlds miniature museum |
| Shin-Toyosu | U15 | teamLab Planets (1 min) |
Two naming traps. There is no Tokyo Teleport station on the Yurikamome; that one is on the Rinkai Line. And the old Fune-no-kagakukan station is now called Tokyo International Cruise Terminal.
Telecom Center (U09) is the stop for Miraikan, but the museum is closed for renovation from 1 October 2026 to 22 April 2027 and reopens on 23 April 2027.
Fares, and the maths on the day pass
Adult single fares run in four bands: ¥190, ¥260, ¥330 and ¥390. They were last revised on 1 October 2019. The ride most visitors take first, Shimbashi to Daiba, costs ¥330 (¥325 with an IC card) and takes about 14 minutes.
The one-day pass is ¥820 for adults and ¥410 for children. Here is when it pays off:
- Two rides, Shimbashi to Daiba and back: ¥660 on single tickets. The pass loses.
- Three rides, add one short hop inside Odaiba (¥190 minimum): ¥850. The pass wins, just.
- Four rides or more, for example Shimbashi → Shin-Toyosu for teamLab → Odaiba-kaihinkoen → Aomi → Shimbashi: the pass wins clearly.
So our rule is the same one the numbers give: buy the pass if you will ride three times or more. If you only go there and back, tap an IC card or a contactless credit card and skip the pass.
The official pass comes as a paper ticket at the station or as a QR mobile ticket sold through the Jorudan app.
Buying the pass on Klook
Klook sells two Yurikamome ride tickets: a 1-day unlimited ride ticket and a 24-hour unlimited ride ticket. You get a QR code that you scan at the ticket gate, and the ticket is valid for 90 days from purchase, so you can buy before the trip and pick the day later. Confirmation is instant. Once bought, it cannot be cancelled or changed except for reasons on the railway’s side.
Older listings and guides describe this product as a pass “with 2 museum tickets”, and the URL still says so. The current version includes no museum entry; it is a ride ticket only. Budget for museum tickets separately.
As the name suggests, the 24-hour version runs for 24 hours rather than one calendar day, which suits an afternoon arrival followed by an early start the next morning. Check the listing for when the clock starts.
Prices in US dollars as listed by the partner when we last checked; the price shown at checkout is the one that counts.
The seasonal Odaiba pass
Tokyo Rinkai Holdings, the Yurikamome’s parent company, also organises the Odaiba Tour Pass, a date-specific QR ticket covering several Odaiba attractions. The edition we checked was valid from 1 April to 30 September 2026; it is sold in seasonal editions, so check whether your dates are bookable before you plan around it. Our Odaiba pass guide covers what it included and the alternatives.
Tokyo Cruise: the boat that is not the Yurikamome
Many guides lump the Yurikamome together with the water buses. They are not connected. Tokyo Cruise Ship Co. is a private company with its own ticket office, fares and online booking at suijobus.co.jp. Your Yurikamome pass is not valid on its boats.
Tokyo Cruise is still the best way to arrive in Odaiba from Asakusa, and the ride doubles as sightseeing. Its boats Himiko, Hotaluna and Emeraldas were designed by the manga artist Leiji Matsumoto.
| Tokyo Cruise route | Adult | Child | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Asakusa → Odaiba Seaside Park | ¥2,000 | ¥1,000 | About 50–65 min by boat |
| Hinode Pier ↔ Odaiba Seaside Park | ¥600 | ¥300 | About 20 min |
| Hinode ↔ Odaiba on Hotaluna | ¥1,000 | ¥500 | About 20 min |
Hotaluna and Emeraldas have monthly non-sailing days, and on August Saturdays and during Obon the Asakusa fare on those two boats rises to ¥3,000. Book online. The Odaiba pier is about 5 minutes on foot from Odaiba-kaihinkoen or Daiba station.
The Tokyo Mizube Line, a separate public water bus, has been suspended since 19 January 2026. A restart “around summer 2026” was hoped for, but nothing had been announced when we checked on 28 September. Ignore any older guide that lists its routes.

Pros and cons of the Yurikamome
What works
- It is the direct link from Shimbashi to every main Odaiba stop and on to teamLab Planets in Toyosu.
- IC cards and contactless credit cards work, so you do not need to buy anything in advance.
- The day pass is cheap, and it pays for itself from the third ride.
What does not
- Not covered by the Tokyo Subway Ticket, a surprise for many visitors.
- Single fares add up quickly if you hop between stations.
- For Shinjuku and Shibuya, the Rinkai Line to Tokyo Teleport is often simpler, and the Yurikamome pass does not cover it.
Verdict
Use the Yurikamome if you are coming from Shimbashi or the east side of Tokyo, or combining Odaiba with teamLab Planets. Buy the day pass only for three or more rides. Coming from the west side of the city, compare the Rinkai Line first. And treat Tokyo Cruise as its own trip, booked separately, not as a bonus on your train ticket. Our getting-there guide puts all the routes on one map.
