LEGOLAND Discovery Center Tokyo is not a theme park. It is an indoor play centre inside DECKS Tokyo Beach, built for children roughly from pre-school to the end of elementary school. If you searched for “legoland odaiba” or “legoland tokyo”, this is the one in the city. Get your expectations right and it is a good half-day for a family, especially when it rains.
The adult rule: no child, no entry
The official ticket page is blunt: adults must bring at least one child aged 15 or under. A couple or a group of adult LEGO fans cannot buy a normal ticket and walk in.
The exception is the Adult Night (大人のレゴナイト) for guests aged 16 and over. The centre holds these periodically in the evening, with a separate ticket; a workshop version has been offered too. There is no fixed calendar, so check the news page on the official site. If no Adult Night fits your trip, adults who like models and miniatures should look at Small Worlds in Ariake instead.
What is inside
The entrance is on Island Mall 3F. Inside you will find:
- Miniland: Tokyo landmarks built in LEGO bricks.
- LEGO Factory
- LEGO NINJAGO City Adventure
- Kingdom Quest: a laser ride.
- Merlin’s Apprentice: a pedal ride. Children 90–120 cm ride with an adult.
- 4D Cinema
- DUPLO Village: the area for the youngest.
- Creative Workshop
You will see different brick counts in different places. The mall and the centre do not agree, so we don’t repeat either number.
The official site lists maintenance closures for some attractions between October and December 2026. Check the attraction page for your date if a particular ride is the reason you are going.
Tickets and prices
LEGOLAND Tokyo uses dynamic pricing: the price moves with the date and time slot.
| Official ticket | Price |
|---|---|
| Online Saver (timed entry, booked ahead) | ¥2,350–¥3,300 |
| Weekday ticket, entry after 14:00 | ¥2,240–¥2,800 |
| Annual Pass | ¥7,000 |
| Under 3 | Free |
The official site says booking online saves up to 30%. The door price is not published, so we can’t confirm how big the saving is on a normal day.
Every guest needs a timed slot. Booking at least 24 hours ahead gets the best price and guaranteed entry. On weekends and holidays, visits may be limited to 3 hours.
Official ticket or Klook: the honest answer
This is where LEGOLAND differs from the other DECKS attractions. The centre’s own ticket FAQ says that tickets bought through third parties, which includes Klook and GetYourGuide, are unreserved. You are admitted when there is space in a slot, and an entry time is not guaranteed. Only the official online ticket guarantees entry at peak times.
So here is the split:
- Book the official timed ticket for Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese public holidays and school holidays, or if your day has a fixed plan after LEGOLAND. Losing an hour in the mall with a four-year-old is a real cost.
- Klook is fine on a normal weekday, when slots are rarely full, or when you are bundling several Odaiba tickets in one app. Compare the price on the card below with the official Online Saver for your date.

Best age, and who should skip it
The centre is commonly recommended for ages 3 to 10. That matches what is inside: a DUPLO area for the youngest, a pedal ride and a laser ride rather than anything fast.
- Ages 3–7: the sweet spot. Everything is at their level.
- Ages 8–10: still good, mostly for the building areas, NINJAGO and the workshop.
- Ages 11 and up: they may finish fast. Joypolis is in the same mall and suits them better, once they are 130 cm or taller.
- Under 3: free, and DUPLO Village is for them. The adults with them still pay.
Parents mostly stand and watch, so plan for that. It is not a place where adults play along for hours.
Hours and timing
The mall lists 10:00–18:00 on weekdays and 10:00–19:00 on weekends and holidays, but hours vary. Check the official calendar for your day.
The weekday after-14:00 ticket is the cheapest official option and suits a plan such as teamLab Planets or the beach in the morning and LEGO in the afternoon.
Combine with Madame Tussauds and the rest of DECKS
LEGOLAND and Madame Tussauds are both in DECKS Island Mall on 3F, a short walk apart. Some sellers, including Headout and KKday, sell a LEGOLAND + Madame Tussauds combo; both visits reportedly have to be on the same day. We could not find an official combo page.
Klook Pass Greater Tokyo is the other way to bundle them. Its list of options includes LEGOLAND, Madame Tussauds, Joypolis and the Unko Museum.

Remember that the unreserved rule applies to pass tickets too.
Before you go: a short checklist
- Count your children and adults. Every adult needs a child aged 15 or under in the group. Under-3s are free but still count as the child that lets a parent in.
- Book a slot. Every guest needs a timed slot, whichever ticket you hold. Booking at least 24 hours ahead on the official site gets the best price and guaranteed entry.
- Watch the clock on weekends. Visits on weekends and holidays may be limited to 3 hours, which is plenty for most families, but don’t plan a long lunch break inside.
- Check the ride you came for. Some attractions have maintenance closures listed between October and December 2026.
- Locals and long stays: the Annual Pass is ¥7,000. At the Online Saver range of ¥2,350–¥3,300, it pays for itself on the third visit.
Food and what to do next
There is no need to leave the building. DECKS restaurants are open 11:00–23:00, and the Odaiba Takoyaki Museum in the same mall is an easy option for a quick meal.
After LEGO, the options depend on age:
| Next stop | Where | Best for | Official child price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trick Art Museum | DECKS Seaside Mall 4F | 5+ | ¥800 (4–14) |
| Joypolis | DECKS 3F–5F | 110 cm+ | ¥1,400 entry / ¥5,000 Passport |
| AniTouch animal zoo | Aqua City 3F | toddlers up | ¥800–¥1,200 by date |
| Odaiba Beach | a short walk from DECKS | everyone | free |
On a dry evening, the free Tokyo Aqua Symphony fountain in Odaiba Marine Park is a good way to finish. Shows start at 15:00 on the normal schedule and run into the evening.
Ownership
Since 28 February 2026, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Tokyo has been operated by the LEGO Group. It was previously run by Merlin Entertainments, the company that still runs Madame Tussauds next door. Older reviews that mention Merlin passes may be out of date, so check current terms on the official site.
Getting there
- Yurikamome: Odaiba-kaihinkoen Station, 2 minutes on foot.
- Rinkai Line: Tokyo Teleport Station, about 5 minutes on foot.
- Inside DECKS, go to the Island Mall and up to 3F.
