This page reviews the ticket channel, not the art. If you want to know what to wear, how deep the water gets and how long to allow, read our teamLab Planets guide. Here the question is narrower: where should you buy the ticket, and what do you give up by buying it somewhere else?
Who runs the store
Two companies share the name on the door. The artworks come from teamLab, the art collective. The ticket store is run by DMM.com, which is why the venue’s full name is teamLab Planets TOKYO DMM and why the official shop lives at teamlabplanets.dmm.com rather than on teamlab.art.
This trips people up. Some guides still say tickets are sold “only on the teamLab website”. In fact the official seller is the DMM store, and a long list of agencies resells the same entry: Klook, GetYourGuide, Headout, KKday, Rakuten Travel Experiences and Viator all had listings when we checked on 28 September 2026.
One more point before you buy anything. teamLab Planets is in Toyosu, not on Odaiba island. People search for “teamlab odaiba” or “odaiba teamlab tickets” because the two areas share the Yurikamome line, and the ride from Shin-Toyosu to Odaiba-kaihinkoen takes about 16 minutes. The venue has announced it will run until the end of 2027.
How buying on the official store works
The store is available in English, Japanese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Korean and Thai. The process is short:
- Choose a date and an entry time. The price appears for that slot, because pricing is dynamic by date and time.
- Pay by card or wallet. The store accepts Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners, PayPay and UnionPay.
- Wait for the QR code. It appears from 00:00 on the day of your visit.
- Share tickets with your group by link, so one person can buy for everyone without handing over a phone at the gate.
Official prices as shown on 28 September 2026:
| Ticket | Official price |
|---|---|
| Adult (18+) | from ¥4,200, varies by date and time |
| Junior high and high school | ¥2,800 |
| Child (4–12) | ¥1,500 |
| 3 and under | Free |
| Guests with a disability | ¥2,100 |
| Premium Pass (no time slot, priority entry, age 4+) | ¥12,000 |
The adult figure is a floor, not a fixed price. Third-party guides report noticeably higher adult prices on peak dates, so look at the exact slot you want before comparing channels.
The rule that decides it: date changes
The official store does not give refunds. What it does allow is a date change: an Entrance Pass can be moved up to 2 hours before your entry time, a maximum of 3 times.
That sounds like a small detail until you think about a real trip. Your flight lands late. It rains all day and you would rather do teamLab (indoors, mostly) then and move the beach to tomorrow. A child is unwell in the morning. On the official store you open the booking and pick another slot, subject to availability. On most agency tickets the date is fixed, and a missed slot is simply lost money. The Rakuten Travel Experiences listing, for example, states that its teamLab ticket is date-specific and cannot be changed or refunded.
This is the main reason we send most readers to the official store first, even though this site earns a commission from Klook and GetYourGuide.
Where Klook and GetYourGuide win
There are honest reasons to buy from an agency:
- The official calendar is full. Guides report that same-day tickets often sell out on weekends and Japanese holidays, and recommend booking three to four weeks ahead in high season. If the official slot you want is gone, it is worth checking the agencies before you rearrange the day.
- You are building a whole day in one app. If Joypolis, a bay cruise and a Yurikamome pass are going on Klook anyway, one app and one payment history is convenient.
- Currency and cancellation. GetYourGuide shows prices in your home currency and many of its products carry free cancellation up to 24 hours before. That does not apply to every teamLab listing, so read the refund line on the actual product.
- Price on a given date. Because the official price moves, an agency price can be lower or higher on a particular day. Compare the card below with the official price for your slot.
| Platform | Product | From | Rating | link |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Klook | teamLab Planets TOKYO Ticket | $27.75 | ★ 4.7 (21.5K) | See ticket |
| GetYourGuide | Tokyo: teamLab Planets TOKYO Digital Art Museum Entry Ticket | $26.71lowest | ★ 4.6 (14.2K) | See ticket |
Official store vs agency, side by side
| Official store (DMM) | Klook / GetYourGuide | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Dynamic, from ¥4,200 adult | Live price on the card; varies by date |
| Date change | Up to 3 times, until 2 h before | Usually not possible; check listing |

For context on the agencies themselves: Klook had a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 28,917 reviews and GetYourGuide 3.9 from 56,429 reviews when we checked on 28 September 2026. Our Klook review and GetYourGuide review cover how each handles problems.
Rules that apply wherever you bought
A ticket from any channel is for a set entry time. teamLab states that it will refuse resale tickets, so do not buy a spare from a stranger or a secondary marketplace. The venue is open 8:00–22:00 with last entry one hour before closing, and it lists irregular closed days: Thursday 1 October 2026 and Thursday 5 November 2026 were on the calendar when we checked.
Inside, the water artworks are walked barefoot and the water can rise to knee height, even for adults. Free rental shorts and free lockers after the gate take care of most of the practical worries. Our main guide has the full list.

Verdict
Buy on the official DMM store if your dates could shift at all. The date-change rule is worth more than a small price difference, and the store is clear, multilingual and takes the cards most visitors carry.
Use Klook when the official slot you need is sold out, or when you are booking several Odaiba tickets together and want them in one place. Use GetYourGuide if you prefer paying in your own currency and the listing you pick has free cancellation.
Whichever you choose, book the teamLab slot first and plan the rest of the day around it. Our one-day itinerary starts with an early teamLab entry and rides the Yurikamome into Odaiba afterwards.
Questions visitors ask
Is teamlabplanets.dmm.com the official teamLab Planets site?
Yes. The art is by teamLab, and the official ticket store for teamLab Planets TOKYO is operated by DMM.com at teamlabplanets.dmm.com.
Can I change the date of a teamLab Planets ticket?
On the official store, yes: an Entrance Pass can be moved up to 2 hours before your entry time, a maximum of 3 times. Agency tickets usually cannot be moved, so read the listing before you pay.
Can I get a refund for teamLab Planets tickets?
Not from the official store, which does not refund tickets. Some agency listings are also fully non-refundable, so a date change is the only flexibility you can count on.
Is teamLab Planets cheaper on Klook than on the official site?
It depends on the date, because the official price is dynamic. Check the official price for your slot, then compare it with the live price on the Klook card on this page.
Is teamLab Planets in Odaiba?
No. It is in Toyosu, one minute from Shin-Toyosu station on the Yurikamome line, a short ride from Odaiba. See our teamLab Planets guide for the visit itself.
