The route you take to Odaiba decides where you arrive. The Yurikamome drops you at the doors of the malls; the Rinkai Line gets you there faster from the west side of the city. Here is how each option works and which stop to use for what.
The Yurikamome from Shimbashi
The Yurikamome is a driverless elevated train that runs 14.7 km from Shimbashi to Toyosu. It loops up onto Rainbow Bridge and crosses the bay, so the ride itself is part of the trip. Sit at the very front if you can.
It has 16 stations, U01 to U16:
- Shimbashi
- Shiodome
- Takeshiba
- Hinode
- Shibaura-futo
- Odaiba-kaihinkoen
- Daiba
- Tokyo International Cruise Terminal
- Telecom Center
- Aomi
- Tokyo Big Sight
- Ariake
- Ariake-Tennis-no-mori
- Shijo-mae
- Shin-Toyosu
- Toyosu
Tokyo International Cruise Terminal used to be called Fune-no-kagakukan, and you will still see the old name on some maps.
- U01 Shimbashi
- U02 Shiodome
- U03 Takeshiba
- U04 Hinode
- U05 Shibaura-futo
- U06 Odaiba-kaihinkoen
- U07 Daiba
- U08 Tokyo Int’l Cruise Terminal
- U09 Telecom Center
- U10 Aomi
- U11 Tokyo Big Sight
- U12 Ariake
- U13 Ariake-tennis-no-mori
- U14 Shijo-mae
- U15 Shin-toyosu
- U16 Toyosu

Fares and the one-day pass
Shimbashi to Daiba costs ¥330 by paper ticket or ¥325 by IC card and takes about 14 minutes. Adult single fares come in four bands: ¥190, ¥260, ¥330 and ¥390. You can also tap a contactless credit card at the gate, and it charges the paper-ticket fare.
The one-day pass is ¥820 for adults and ¥410 for children. It pays off from about three rides: out from Shimbashi, a hop between stations on the island and the ride back. If your day includes teamLab Planets at Shin-Toyosu, it almost certainly pays off.
Klook sells the Yurikamome pass as a QR ticket in two versions: a 1-day unlimited ride ticket and a 24-hour unlimited ride ticket. You scan the QR code at the gate, and the ticket is valid for 90 days from purchase. It cannot be cancelled or changed except for reasons on the operator’s side, so buy it once your dates are fixed. Children aged 0 to 5 ride free if they do not take a seat. It is a transport ticket only: no museum entry is included, whatever the old listing URL suggests.

The Rinkai Line from Shinjuku, Shibuya or Osaki
The Rinkai Line runs Osaki – Oimachi – Shinagawa Seaside – Tennozu Isle – Tokyo Teleport – Kokusai-Tenjijo – Shinonome – Shin-Kiba. Many trains run through onto the JR Saikyo Line, so you can sit on one train from Shinjuku, Shibuya or Ikebukuro to Odaiba.
- Shinjuku → Tokyo Teleport: about 23 minutes without changing, around ¥550.
- Osaki → Tokyo Teleport: ¥340 (IC ¥335).
- Rinkai one-day pass: ¥730 adult, ¥370 child.
Tokyo Teleport is a Rinkai station, not a Yurikamome one. It carries a second name, “DiverCity Tokyo Plaza-mae”, because DiverCity is three minutes away. DECKS and Joypolis are about five minutes on foot, and Fuji TV is five minutes from exit B.
The Rinkai Line runs underground, so you see nothing on the way. It makes up for that with speed if you are staying in Shinjuku or Shibuya. A good plan is to arrive by Rinkai and leave by Yurikamome after dark, when the bridge is lit.
Kokusai-Tenjijo, one stop further, is about nine minutes from Small Worlds.
The Tokyo Subway Ticket does not work here
This catches a lot of visitors. The Tokyo Subway Ticket is valid only on Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines. The Yurikamome and the Rinkai Line are neither, and we found no add-on that extends it to them.
Prices went up on 14 March 2026. The pass now costs ¥1,000 for 24 hours, ¥1,500 for 48 hours and ¥2,000 for 72 hours (children ¥500, ¥750, ¥1,000), and a QR version has been available since 25 March 2026. It is still good value for the rest of Tokyo. It gets you to Shimbashi, the start of the Yurikamome. Just don’t count Odaiba as covered.

By boat from Asakusa or Hinode
Tokyo Cruise runs water buses to Odaiba Seaside Park pier, about five minutes’ walk from Odaiba-kaihinkoen and Daiba stations.
| Route | Time | Adult / child |
|---|---|---|
| Asakusa → Odaiba Seaside Park | ~50–65 min by boat | ¥2,000 / ¥1,000 |
| Hinode Pier ↔ Odaiba Seaside Park | ~20 min | ¥600 / ¥300 (Hotaluna ¥1,000 / ¥500) |
From Asakusa the boats are Himiko (about 50 minutes), Emeraldas (about 55) and Hotaluna (about 65), the ships designed by Leiji Matsumoto. Emeraldas and Hotaluna have monthly non-sailing days and cost more on August Saturdays and during Obon, so book on the operator’s site.
The other water bus, the Tokyo Mizube Line, has been suspended since 19 January 2026, with no restart date announced when we checked. For restaurant cruises rather than transport, see Tokyo Bay cruises.

On foot over Rainbow Bridge
The Rainbow Promenade is the footpath on Rainbow Bridge. It is about 1.7 km from the Shibaura side to Odaiba and takes 20 to 30 minutes at a normal pace.
- Price: free.
- Hours: April to October 9:00–21:00; November to March 10:00–18:00. Last entry 30 minutes before closing.
- Closed: every third Monday of the month (the next day if that Monday is a holiday), and in strong wind or during events.
- Bicycles: you cannot ride. You push the bike on a rental dolly, or fold and bag it.
There are two walkways. The North Route looks towards the city and Tokyo Tower. The South Route looks towards Odaiba, and on a clear day towards Mt Fuji.
Walk towards Odaiba in the late afternoon and you arrive in time for sunset on the beach. In winter, remember the promenade closes at 18:00.
Open-top sightseeing buses
Open-top buses cross Rainbow Bridge, but treat them as sightseeing loops, not transport. The Sky Bus course, for example, does not stop in Odaiba.
- Sky Bus Tokyo “Tokyo Tower & Rainbow Bridge”: about a 50-minute loop from the Mitsubishi Building in Marunouchi, three minutes from Tokyo Station. ¥2,200 adult, ¥1,100 child on weekdays.
- Hato Bus “TOKYO Panorama Drive”: about an hour from Tokyo Station. ¥2,200 weekdays, ¥2,400 weekends for adults.
The Klook open-top bus listing had a 3.9 rating when we checked, one of the lowest of any product on this site. Read the recent reviews before you book. For most people the Yurikamome over the bridge gives a similar view for a fraction of the price.

Walking times from the station
Once you are on the island, most places are a short walk from a station. These are the operators’ own figures.
| Place | Nearest station | Walk |
|---|---|---|
| DECKS Tokyo Beach (Joypolis, LEGOLAND, Tussauds, Trick Art) | Odaiba-kaihinkoen / Tokyo Teleport | 2 min / 5 min |
| Fuji TV (Hachitama) | Daiba, south exit / Tokyo Teleport, exit B | 3 min / 5 min |
| Statue of Liberty replica | Daiba | ~3 min |
| Tokyo Aqua Symphony fountain | Daiba / Odaiba-kaihinkoen or Tokyo Teleport | 3 min / ~10 min |
| DiverCity (Gundam Base, Unko Museum) | Tokyo Teleport / Daiba | 3 min / 5 min |
| Miraikan (closed 1 Oct 2026 – 22 Apr 2027) | Telecom Center | ~4 min |
| Small Worlds | Ariake-Tennis-no-mori / Kokusai-Tenjijo | 3 min / 9 min |
| teamLab Planets | Shin-Toyosu, north exit | 1 min |
DECKS, Aqua City and Fuji TV sit close together along the waterfront, so on a good day you can walk between them rather than riding one stop.
Which route should you take?
- Staying near Ginza, Tokyo Station or Shimbashi: Yurikamome from Shimbashi.
- Staying in Shinjuku, Shibuya or Ikebukuro: Rinkai Line through train to Tokyo Teleport.
- Starting the day in Asakusa: Tokyo Cruise water bus.
- Starting at teamLab Planets: Yurikamome from Shin-Toyosu, about 14 to 16 minutes to Daiba or Odaiba-kaihinkoen.
- Good weather and good legs: walk the bridge one way, ride the Yurikamome back.
To put this into a day plan, see our Odaiba one-day itinerary.
Questions visitors ask
Does the Tokyo Subway Ticket cover the Yurikamome?
No. The Tokyo Subway Ticket is valid only on Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines. The Yurikamome and the Rinkai Line are separate companies, so you pay their fares or buy their own day passes.
Is Tokyo Teleport a Yurikamome station?
No. Tokyo Teleport is on the Rinkai Line. For DiverCity, which is next to Tokyo Teleport, the Yurikamome stops are Daiba and Aomi, each about five minutes away.
Is the Yurikamome one-day pass worth it?
Usually, if you ride three or more times in a day. Single fares run from ¥190 to ¥390 and the pass is ¥820 for adults, so Shimbashi to Odaiba, a hop across the island and the ride back already come close.
Can you walk to Odaiba over Rainbow Bridge?
Yes. The Rainbow Promenade is free and about 1.7 km from Shibaura to Odaiba, around 20 to 30 minutes on foot. It closes every third Monday and in strong wind.
What is the fastest way to Odaiba from Shinjuku?
The Rinkai Line. Through trains from Shinjuku reach Tokyo Teleport in about 23 minutes without changing.
